錯層設(shè)計形成了一個巨大的懸挑結(jié)構(gòu)，創(chuàng)造了下方的停車位和陰涼區(qū)域，也成為鄰里交流的催化劑，同時為市區(qū)提供了一個具有功能性與美學(xué)性的獨特立面。

這個四口之家的住宅項目位于東京市中心的人口稠密住宅區(qū)。委托人希望在這個場地上有一個寬敞的居住環(huán)境，雖然考慮到場地地形的高差、小型的地塊面積以及遮陽規(guī)定等限制，但建筑師還是為他們營造出一個比想象中更開闊的空間。

通過在不同的區(qū)域加入錯層，整體實現(xiàn)了一個具有連續(xù)性、水平差異和深度的立體式空間。在空間設(shè)計上，建筑師將重點放在開放式的內(nèi)部，而不是向人口密集的住宅區(qū)開放。

餐廳、客廳和露臺都具有三維感，陽光通過天窗穿透室內(nèi)，營造出超越實際空間的感官體驗。
